We have sourced mulch locally from Drinkwater Mushroom Farm in Galgate, near Lancaster. We bought 5 tons of it, which arrived in a truck on the Friday before the Big Dig.

The Mulch smells lovely too - something we cant quite get over on the blogspot! Today is the big dig day and hurrah - its not raining!!!
Yes - no problem, the English bluebells have been ordered (from Wales, hope that counts?) and should arrive soon. Other woodland plants are on the list. It should look lovely in May 2009!
During the autumn of 2008, Cultivating Settle will be planting a bluebell wood in the Millennium Gardens, in conjunction with Craven Conservation and with sponsorship from Craven Housing. The planting will be completed in time for Spring 2009 when we hope to attract lots of birds and wildlife.

Ooh, I hope you're going to make sure they're British bluebells!

Are you going to plant anything for earlier in the year? I'm quite keen on yellow wood anemones myself.
